Ginger Tofu Bento & Side Tempura

People in our time are living with problems related to foods. I was born in the 1960's and grew up with the popularization of the fast foods, chemically enhanced foods and processed foods.

Even in these times, I've always loved to cook and eat well until my career as a fashion designer in Tokyo led to hectic days and long, stressful nights. There was no time to cook for myself. During this time, I sustained myself mostly on junk and processed foods. I believe that lifestyle promoted cancer to grow in my body. After I was diagnosed, I began to research nutrition to heal and prevent illness. I'd like to make it affordable, because we eat everyday. Even though Yoshimatsu is a restaurant, we try to offer the foods like mom made at home; meals that are best for her family.

That's the reason for Yoshimatsu.

Yoshimatsu uses organic tofu, carrots, natto and edamame soybeans. Many dishes may not contain many vegetables, but we'll be happy to accept your adding vegetable/tofu order. We do our best to order no MSG products from distributors and we never add MSG. We are constant battle with the notion that we like to use organic & healthy food and also want to serve food affordable. We will keep trying to use organic products, when we can. Have fun & take your time eating my healthy homemade dishes in my warn home of Yoshimatsu!!
